Biography: VÃctor is a Civil Mining Engineer from the Universidad Técnica Federico Santa MarÃa and has focused on studying the environmental impacts of mining at different operational levels. He has studies in statistics and data science, as well as studies in operations research for the optimization of processes and decisions. He has experience in industrial research and data analysis in pilot projects and industrial validation of mining technologies, as well as experience in conducting surveillance and technological scouting for different mining companies. His areas of interest are environmental impact assessment, sustainable mining development, and optimization of processes and operations. Currently, his main line of research focuses on minimizing environmental impacts, mainly the carbon footprint, in mine operations through strategic mining planning and programming.
