Line of Research: Environmental rehabilitation and ecosystem dynamics

Biography: Pablo is an Agricultural Engineer and has a Master´s in Soil and Water Management from the Universidad de Chile. His main areas of expertise are the impact of anthropic activities on the natural environment, the evaluation of the quality of soils and bodies of water for different uses, as well as the remediation of contaminated sites.

Its main lines of work are related to the impact of mining waste on soils, sediments, plant organisms and continental waters, as well as the development of non-traditional techniques for the rehabilitation of sites contaminated with heavy metals and metalloids, such as phytoremediation. He has worked on projects affecting tailings spills and concentrates on water courses and the evaluation of native plants as prospects for the stabilization of polluting elements.
