Biography: Dennis is a Chemical Engineer from the USACH and has a master’s degree in waste treatment from the University of Stuttgart, in Germany. In addition, he obtained a PhD from Imperial College London with his thesis on optimizing hydrocyclone designs using CFD simulations. He worked for several years on projects of (bio)leaching of low-grade minerals and physical characterization of pulps of mining origin. More recently he worked in the academy, carrying out research projects in mineral processing, particularly comminution and particle classification, with national and international funds. His areas of interest are mineral processing, CFD simulations and process, equipment design and sustainable mining.
