Biography:Camilo is an Engineer in Biochemistry, Microbial Genetics and Food Science from the National Institute of Applied Sciences (INSA Toulouse), France and postgraduate studies in Post-Genomics from the same institution. He has worked as an academic and researcher, leading groups and interdisciplinary projects that focus on the design of context-based technologies for the mitigation of environmental and health effects. His work has specialized in sensory systems and participatory monitoring and their effective appropriation for decision-making by communities of these technologies.

He is currently working as an adjunct researcher at SMI-ICE-Chile in participatory environmental monitoring and sensory projects applied to socio-environmental issues in the mining industry. He is currently Associate Professor and Director of Innovation at the Faculty of Engineering of the Universidad del Desarrollo, as well as Director of the Center for Research in Technologies for Society (C+) of the same institution.
