The Program aims to support the industry in reducing its greenhouse gas emissions and increasing the resilience of mining territories facing the impacts of climate change.
Aims
Through this Research Program, the Centre seeks to develop new knowledge and tools that industry can apply to
its operations to substantially reduce its greenhouse gas emissions. It is also intended to create a higher level of
understanding and awareness of the sources and impacts of climate change in the industry and to encourage the
industry to reduce its contribution to this phenomenon.
SMI-ICE-Chile looks to encourage for the industry to collaborate with other economic and social actors to address
the impacts of climate change in their territories and increase local resilience through collective measures.
